Most people equate health insurance with health care. Be sure though that you do not mistake one for the other. People who do not have medical or health insurance is still eligible for health care. It is a law in America that if you go to an emergency room, you will still be treated whether you have health insurance or not. It does not matter if you are a citizen of this country or not, you are still entitled to health care. Read on to know the main differences between health insurance and health care.

Primary thing to know is that health insurance gives you medical assistance. When you have health insurance this does not mean that you will be given health care. Anybody can get health care as long as they have the means to pay for it. When you have health insurance it helps you to pay the bill. This is more like money saved for the rainy days when you get sick. That way, you don’t have to carry a lot of money in order to get health care.  This is a big benefit to people who get our international health insurance.

Second, health insurance does not equate health care. In some instances, doctors do not accept the health insurance that is being presented to them for varying reasons. Some of the reasons may include the none inclusion of the illness with the coverage, or the doctor is not included in the coverage. This instance will mean that your health insurance is no help at all. It is important for people to know and understand that health insurance is merely the mechanism by which you pay the doctor.  We make sure people understand this before getting international student medical insurance.

Last, health insurance is just another way for you to make sure that you can pay your health bills. It is imperative that you eat well and exercise. When you increase your health insurance coverage this just means that you increasing the scope of the insurance for diseases and emergency situations that you can pay for.  This is a benefit to all clients of our ransom insurance.

You have just read some of the major differences between health care and health insurance. Make sure that you stay healthy by eating right and excercising.

Basic Types Of Health Insurance

Having a health insurance can be considered as having an investment in your life. This is a good thing to have when you are sick. But it won’t be a good idea to just depend on the insurance which your company has provided you because they have different coverages. If possible, try to get an external provider which will provide you with the coverage that you need. Read on to know the basic types of standard insurance which can be adapted to your needs.

First, you can opt to have an HMO, or a Health Maintenance Organization. You will discover that HMOs are great for long trem helath plans of clients. A primary care physician is chosen by you to spearhead the health program that you will be needing. If other specialists are required, they coordinate the care with others in their network to help keep the costs down. This is a popular choice amongst clients of our international health insurance.

Next is the Preferred Provider Organization. This is basically like an HMO, but the main difference is you are not limited to the available physicians in your network. You can pick doctors that are not accredited in their network and you can still have some of your health bill refunded. This is good for people who prefers the freedom of choosing their own doctors and not limited to a network. This allows our customers to find the best coverage for their overseas medical insurance.

Third, we have the POS insurance, or Point Of Service insurance. This is actually a combination of the PPO and the HMO. The insured party chooses their primary physician, and all health care will start with the insured consulting with the chosen physician. The chosen doctor will then be responsible for everything that you need health wise. This flexibility is great for clients of my expatriate medical insurance.

These are the things that you should know about the types of helath insurance policies. Selecting the best one will depend on the type of coverage you want, as well as your monthly budget.
